DualCom GPRS, from CSL DualCom Limited, is an intruder alarm signalling device that uses both the Vodafone network and your telephone and/or IP path to transmit intruder, fire and personal attack signals at high speed. Once the alarm is confirmed as genuine, the police are notified. Utilising multiple signalling paths ensures that DualCom will always have a back-up path in the event of an accidental or deliberate fault on any path. A dual signalling device helps to distinguish genuine from false alarms and can therefore prevent your Police response time from dropping to a lower level or being withdrawn. GPRS is a high-speed signalling technology used to send and receive ‘packets’ of data. CSL chose Vodafone for the integrity of its performance in both reliability and speed. DualCom is charged as a fixed tariff, meaning the device can send and receive an unlimited amount of data at no extra charge. This affordable new technology offers dual signalling at single-path signalling prices and is favoured by insurers and Police as the smart way forward in the protection of people and property.

CSL DualCom are pleased to announce a new addition to the DualCom GradeShift® range, the DualCom G2r. This brand new radio-only product offers many of the same innovative features as the market leading DualCom GradeShift® and has been available since April 1st 2011.

The DualCom G2r is ideal for installations where there is no telephone line or LAN available. By utilising Radio GPRS, there are no associated call costs that you the customer would experience with telephone line based signalling such as digital communicators. Additionally, if there is a dedicated telephone line installed for the digital communicator, this can be cancelled as it's not required with DualCom G2r thus saving you line rental charges.

Polling calls are sent to Gemini (the CSL DualCom Managed Network) every six hours for the G2r compared with a digital communicator's 24 hour test call.

The DualCom G2r is also available with a WorldSIM® included. The WorldSIM® provides you with near 100% radio coverage by utilising all major UK mobile networks, offering maximum performance from the single radio path. The G2r is also backed-up by GSM in addition to GPRS completely free of charge.

  • DualCom G2r exceeds EN50136 requirements for a Grade 2 single path signalling system

  • If your Insurers have specified dual path signalling, DualCom GradeShift® G2, G3 or G4 should be used. Unlike the DualCom GradeShift® range, G2r cannot remotely GradeShift® to satisfy any future change in Insurance specification
